The Scouter’s Key award is a recognition of consistent effective service in a number of program areas. It is available for service at the individual unit level as well as the District Committee and Commissioner levels. All levels require 3 year’s tenure in the position for which the Key is being awarded, specific training and performance levels. Some Keys require the Unit meet certain Journey to Excellence standards.
The award is a medal and the Scouter’s Key knot. Devices may be added to the ribbon to recognize the programs in which the award was earned. It may be earned in multiple programs, but the tenure required may not be duplicated between the awards.
